Ajax y Bob Marley, una relación que comenzó con la canción Three Little Birds

El cuadro del Ajax de Ámsterdam ha dado de qué hablar luego que han presentado la equipación  que utilizarán los de Holanda en la temporada 2021-2022, misma que está inspirada en el fallecido músico, guitarrista y compositor jamaicano, Bob Marley; una relación que tiene su origen en la canción ‘Three Little Birds’.

La historia detrás

Fue durante un duelo de pretemporada durante el verano de 2008 que en los altavoces del estadio Ninian Park, durante el entretiempo del duelo Cardiff vs Ajax sonó la canción ‘Three Little Birds’ de Bob Marley, misma que los fanáticos del equipo holandés cantaron en Gales y se la llevaron a su casa desde entonces y se entona en todos los partidos.

Para añadirle un significado más especial en septiembre del 2018 cuando ante el AEK Athens por la UEFA Champions League, el hijo de Bob Marley, Ky-Mani Marley, salió para interpretar la canción ante un repleto Johan Cruyff Arena. Este fue el momento cumbre para que la exitosa canción de reggae fuera cantada por 50 mil 500 almas y de esta forma quedó grabada en los corazones de todos los aficionados al equipo.

¿De qué habla?

La letra de ‘Three Little Birds’ apela al misticismo muy conocido de Bob Marley y aunque tiene varias interpretaciones, podría decirse que se trata de un mensaje optimista y positivo ‘aunque todo parezca derrumbarse y el caos sea una constante en la vida, no te preocupes que todo va a salir bien’, esta sería la lectura más correcta al respecto de la letra de este tema.
